THE BELL INN - Forthcoming Events 2007

This is just a taster of what is in store for you this year at The Bell. Future details will be available nearer the time so give us a bell at the Bell on 01373 462956 ....

Our chosen charity for 2006 for all fundraising events and activities is The Royal National Lifeboat Institution ...

The Bell has been officially appointed as the new Frome branch of the RNLI from the 1st of January 2006.

We will be meeting in the back barn on a regular basis to discuss and agree on a whole range of fund raising ideas and events for the coming year. We will be forming an Inshore Rescue Team based at the pub to be on call if we are needed, although it can be argued that we are many miles from the sea ,we do have some pretty treacherous rivers in and around Frome that have been known to burst their banks and form rather large puddles !!

Members of the crew will be known as weather systems from the shipping forecast such as Dogger Bank and Portland Bill. Please watch this space for further details and photos of the crew in their uniforms provided by the RNLI.

Children's Playing Field Collections - ladies film watchers are currently making donations towards the children's playing field fund ... the group loves reading and old books are being sold for £1 on the night ... watchers have also been asked to donate their unwanted reads. We have raised a total of £97.50 for the playing fields this year ...

Our takeaway food and beer service has been a roaring success this year so don’t forget to order over the phone from our new ‘Git ‘n’ Go’ value menu or call in to choose from the special and pudding boards. N.B. we now stock a wide range of cigars, rolling tobacco and snuff, for takeaway or to be enjoyed in our smart new heated Cigar Stack.
